What an amazing shot! You must have been fairly close. The detail in this is just fantastic and I love the blue and gold colors. The pose is wonderful - that large body and wingspread over those spindly legs - it seems so improbable and yet you have captured this bird looking strong and graceful.

About "comment flood protection". Three minutes is a long time for someone who looks at the photos first and then comes back to comment on them. I tried that one time on my site and people did nothing but complain. Better solution is a better spam filter.
