@ 2011-01-14 04:57:48
This is amazing. We passed ice-formations on the motorway a few days ago. It was water coming down from big rocks and it froze on the way.

Nice image. Even more impressive is that you braved the ice yourself to photograph the falls.

@ 2011-01-14 11:37:27
Sometimes the beauty of nature scares me! Suddenly, its disproportion hurts, everything is too big and generates too much emotion. We dream one day to make this picture! Kudos to you.

Superb details and light. Well done indeed John!
@ 2011-01-15 13:07:19
Wow! (By the way, I experimented with some HDR photos from a canyon earlier this year, shot them all knowing what I wanted to do, it is HARD! I have a whole new sense of respect for your mastery.) Love the ice and the water flowing underneath. Beautiful. And what a great place. I always want to imagine that I'm about a half inch tall in these spaces. What an awesome little world that would be.
@ 2011-01-15 13:19:48
It's definitely like a fantasy, John! It looks a lot like it was taken inside some beautiful cave.

Some of the elements look very much like the inside of a cave. Gorgeous!
@ 2011-01-18 13:18:27
your photos are amazing and I always wonder how you find these places!!
@ 2011-01-18 14:05:56
That is spectacular. Well done finding these places and making the most out of them. We particularly like the detail in the foreground - good compositional counterweight to the "big lump of ice" in the background.
Framed and Shot @ 2011-01-18 16:53:01
this does look so different from other photographs you've posted from this park. the rock formations look so different. and the place feels cave-like. beautiful work as always.

Wow, this is jst surreal. Awesome feat of nature I must say. You have captured it wel. The lighting is well balanced. Have you processed it in any way? I know that with ice and snow it is alway tough to find the right lighting setup.
