what a surprise, I like your photos.
Really perfect shot.
Bravo. Yashar @ 2010-02-23 03:44:36
You've certainly featured the blues nicely, John, with the reds providing a balance of relief. I feel drawn into this scene, almost imagining echoing footsteps approaching from behind ... sort of scary. Sort of reminiscent of your under pier shots but without the surf. Great reflections in the puddles. gavin hart @ 2010-02-23 03:50:51
Great details and lights. oldshutterhand @ 2010-02-23 03:55:26
Une fois de plus je suis scié par la qualité impressionnante du traitement... La perspective est fabuleuse, mais alors que dire de la réflexion au sol dans cette flaque d'eau...
Fantastique John !
Chaotic, solitary and alarming, the real crime scene ^^
interesting and beautiful treatment taolechat @ 2010-02-23 06:27:19
Now I do like this. Remnds me of "The Terminator". I particularly like the foregorund puddles of water. Those reflections are electric! mooch @ 2010-02-23 08:26:06
Love the reflection from those blue lamps everywhere :-) Frida @ 2010-02-23 09:30:43

It's great how the ordinary location becomes so surreal, charged with energy, even menace, an alien environment. john @ 2010-02-24 07:19:12

Super image. Looks like another planet!! Andrés @ 2010-02-25 18:16:40
once i read an article called 'why the future never happens' and it was about science fiction and why none of it ever comes to pass, well in this picture it looks to me as if the future has finally happened lol something very science fictiony about it, and i LOVE the blue glow!!! Elaine- @ 2010-02-25 19:34:27
The row of blue lights and the two rows of reflections form a pattern that reminds me of the Mercedes emblem. I've been sitting here turning my head sideways looking at it. When I focus on just the lights it pulls the eye. This image could be used for a "what do you see" thingy. Does that sound silly. Oh well:-) sherri @ 2010-02-25 22:09:50
What a fascinating shot John. I really like the reflections and the shine from the water. It's cool how it's like 2 worlds melding into one. bluechameleon @ 2010-02-25 23:49:10
Que dire si ce n'est "magnifique" ? très belle composition, les couleurs sont extraordinairement lumineuses, j'aime beaucoup. Marie LC @ 2010-02-26 02:00:06

Hey John, This is an awesome image. How did you do this? Is this HDR? Or processed? The colors are intens and the atmosphere is spot on. The amount of detail is incredible. Congrats!! Bye, Dennis. Dennis @ 2010-02-26 03:16:11
This is an incredible study of the vanishing-point perspective, John! Ginnie @ 2010-02-26 03:32:35
It's almost a scene from Bladerunner! So futuristic! I expect robots (or Replicants!) to run into frame any minute! Cool stuff! :) Arjan - PlasticDaisy @ 2010-02-26 09:44:55
A gorgeous shot with those amazing blues. I like the special processing to produce such an outstanding image. Excellent. Don @ 2010-02-26 11:04:37

The blue lighting and reflections transport the viewer to this mechanized underworld. (It's analogous to being under one of those piers - except, instead of the ocean, one hears the humanized hum of motors and transformers.) Kevin from OrganicPix.com @ 2010-05-10 10:01:47
