Took this shot recently, about a month ago of the new casino still being built in Atlantic City. Plan was to have two towers, however they ran into financial problems due to the economy and only built one. Suppose to be completed in 2011.

Hello, gorgeous, you're in another dimension!! Good day and weekend. tede @ 2010-02-06 02:17:07
wonderful night capture
I never visit Atlantic city Yvon @ 2010-02-06 03:16:46
I'm not surprised that one tower never quite made it from the drawing board to the finished article, in these tough economiuc times.
What a fabulous image, leaping out from the screen in beautiful detail. First class work as always. I sold my trusty D300 last year, John, when needs dictated and I still miss it now. I've just bought a D90 and three lenses and am preparing to travel back to Canada in a couple of months to see how she compares. SOUL AFLAME @ 2010-02-06 03:43:53

But than I do a lot of smiling lately, wonder why ;) Astrid @ 2010-02-06 09:33:47

love the colors and the processing, but to be honest it looks like the building is falling backwords, although the horizon seems right. How did that happen? petra @ 2010-02-07 07:45:12
wow impressive colors .. the one thing i have the feeling the image and the skyscrapper have a little tilt .. but as always excellent treatment Klaus @ 2010-02-07 10:10:06
So many intriguing reflections going on in this, John - most striking is the indigo of the night sky off the dominant building - a cool counterpoint to the sky-on-fire. Stephen Phillips @ 2010-02-07 14:07:04
Great color contrast between teh warm hues on the left and the icy blue on the right. Very cool. Dustin @ 2010-02-07 14:10:54
Brilliant image . These colors and lights are simply outstanding ! Bravo ! MARIANA @ 2010-02-07 14:23:21

I'm not sure I'd ever want to build two towers, John; the one is certainly enough. This is again a masterpiece in your hands. Ginnie @ 2010-02-08 02:28:01
The light on the shoreline is amazing and the sky is gorgeous John. Frida @ 2010-02-08 05:30:21
I like the composition with the wonderful of nature on the left and the man's skill on the right. great colors too. BoB @ 2010-02-08 06:06:36
Bravo chef !
bonsoir,
As always a great processing..a wonderful composition..bravo! jelb @ 2010-02-08 12:20:15

look at that blue! some fantastic color going on here. feels like fire off on the left. great juxtaposition to the royal blue on the right. awesome capture. joe @ 2010-02-09 00:22:08
Amazing work as always, John. I find my eye drawn powerfully to the tower, looming so impressively ofer the scene. You've framed all the leading lines in the cloud, buildings and shorelines to direct attention on the casino. Love the glow and overall low key lighting on the tower. gavin hart @ 2010-02-09 02:10:57
i absolutely loved the burning like sky and the reflection of which are there in the buildings! joshi daniel @ 2010-02-09 03:44:13

John, hope they left a room to build the second one in the future once they make some money, lol. Excellent shot, and the structure is amazing. These days these structures are looking better, and better, and taller. Anna :) Anna @ 2010-02-09 23:54:09
