House of Blues Sunset
Info + Comments (88)
A panoramic image of the Atlantic City boardwalk and beach near the House of Blues. If you check out the panos link or go to url http://www.sirius2photo.com/pano/index.html you will see my gallery of panoramic images. There are two viewer that I like so far, krpano and zoomify. Both have their own advantages. I like the full screen mode in krpano and the quickness and details in zoomify. Would like to find one that combines the best of both.
If you've enjoyed my photos, I would greatly appreciate your vote for the 2011 Photoblog Awards.
Well... Again an amzing work here, John. Those intense colors and fine evening light make this panorama even more special than the scenery would be by itself.

@ 2010-01-31 22:39:28
I like seeing the big picture here. Somehow I had imagined the boardwalk to be larger and not on the edge of the beach. (silly me) I'm amazed at how you shot right into the sun. A breath taking scene.

Great photography is breathtaking in the breast, beautiful colors and composition just like a fairy tale. A long time I was not here but I had a lot of work, Thank you for visiting my photoblog John.
@ 2010-02-01 10:00:22
Very nice, John; this is a perfect fit for a panorama!
Love how the eye is drawn down the beach to the sunset. The long shadows cast by the pylons act as a guide to make sure I'm headed the right direction :-)

wow, another amazing shot. very Fantastic HDR work. great colors and perspective ...
@ 2010-02-02 07:20:57
I do like this. The sky is particularly beautiful John!
Take us through the tech side of this. How many images did you combine, how extreme from over to under exposed do you go? I find bracketing produces limited results for me, even once put through PS. It would be great to hear the tips from the guru!
@ 2010-02-02 08:20:54
I am in awe! Crazy good. How much time does it take to craft an image like this John?
@ 2010-02-02 11:28:00
beautifully captured with a superb angle.
@ 2010-02-02 14:27:58
Amazing! I want so much for it to be viewed bigger.. :(
@ 2010-02-02 17:41:07
the low sun, the shadows and that dynamic sky - all really beautiful.
@ 2010-02-02 22:51:40
Another amazing shot John. You are the master of HDR!
All the best.
@ 2010-02-03 05:42:01
loved the long shadows which is caused by the sunlight and overall a beautiful image!
@ 2010-02-03 05:49:51
Well, I thought I posted a comment but IO must have messed the security up.
I love the composition and the vibrant colour that you have achieved in the sky.
I'm curious to know how many images you use for each HDR image and how extreme you go from dark to light. I've tried two lots of bracketing, totalling seven images but don't seem to get the range even when put through photoshop.
@ 2010-02-03 08:29:06
What a wonderful shot! Fantastic sunset !
It is always a pleasure to come to visit you ... Bravo et à bientôt ! :-)
@ 2010-02-03 08:50:27
John, this is pretty smazing an (we think) your best pano so far. We really like the wide view (yes, yes, we know it is a pano) used to take in the whole scene with the setting sun as an anchoring point in the midddle.
Off to you pano site now.....

Interesting shot. The right and left hand sides make two very different images.
@ 2010-02-04 17:27:09
I especially love the long shadows in this image, John. You sure have a way of making incredible panos, regardless of what tools you use!

If I never get to see the beach again, I want to remember it exactly like this. I have not been back for over 5 years now and miss it so much. You have captured the essence of my Atlantic City memories with this shot.
